Raquel has been working in the field of dentistry for over 25 years. This includes 18 years working in general dentistry, orthodontics and restorative dentistry in Brazil, five years as a Dental Nurse/Orthodontic Nurse in the UK and four years as an Orthodontic Therapist in Milton Keynes.
Raquel completed her qualification in Dentistry in Sao Francisco, Brazil. She later qualified as a Dental Nurse in the UK with NEBDN, and as an Orthodontic Therapist at the University of Warwick.
Raquel caries out an extensive range of orthodontic treatments, including fixed metal braces, fixed ceramic braces, self- ligating braces, Invisalign and removable braces.
As well as her orthodontic treatments, Raquel carries out dental examinations, oral hygiene and teeth whitening. She also provides care for nervous patients and treats children’s teeth.
Raquel is a member of the Orthodontic Nursing Group.
Raquel loves to work with calm people who are committed to their day-to-day work. She enjoys working in a team that is focused and always willing to help in any situation, with a positive attitude towards having a good working environment.
Raquel is a smiling person who loves to talk and listen to patients, getting to know their different backgrounds, cultures and countries. She likes to dance, listen to Brazilian music in the car (which makes her feel happy!), walk with her little dog and travel with her family.
